Where is best to buy these and which are the best in your opinion(s)?

I've been using one of my mates' and they're great.

The kind which grip, cut and pull in one squeeze, spring loaded. I've been having trouble finding them online too...Suppose it doesn't help that this pair are at least 25 years old :bat:

I don't mind using just side cutters for anything up to 6mm then I use cable shears(cutters) for anything above that, then at like 50mm knife. But after using these I've been completely turned! One squeeze and done with a perfect shear.

That looks nothing like them but a closer look seems like they may work the same, are there any videos for that?

I find it easier using the ck sidecutters with the nothches in for 1.5 and 2.5

find a Electrical Trainee, tell them the power is defiantly off you have checked and hand them your snips.

repeat for 2.5 after 1.5.

makes a lovely set of cable strippers (boss loves cutting live cables, clumsy bugger. after ruining about 6 borrowed pairs in however many months he did it to his own set)

Thats easily solved! Just pull the insulation off the handles or poke a bit of wire through it so it just touches the metal and pokes out a mm, he won't do it again!
