Can anyone please tell me what is the best course for training as an electrician? I would like to train in London and do the course full time and as quickly as possible.

I don’t have 3-5 years and would prefer to fast track this. I would want to train at the best place i can find for the best price.

You can't fast track experience, the only way to become a competent electrician is to gain experience working alongside a competent electrician for a few years. You can only learn the theory in a classroom, they can't teach you the real world application of the theory or practical skills.

You could try one of the forum sponsors, who offer training packages. But as davesparks has said, you will need some experience and practical skills as well. Whilst these short course training venues give you some of the practical training, it is not enough.

What is your intention for your future vocation as an electrician?

I don’t necessarily want to become an electrician but I would like to work on my own projects and I enjoy some of the theory behind electrics.

If you dont have 3-5 years give up.

If you do insist a fast track course, dont do any work for the public with no practical experiance.
