or convertabulb. great prices and good quality.

UK solarseller on eBay 24 smd warm light £2.25 each or dimmable for £3.50 each they are only cheap but I have fitted 100s and no complaints or comebacks. They a brighter than a normal 50 watt halogen and are rated at 3.5watt. You can buy two for the price of better brand and i have had them all in my house over the years and none of them last forever. They come with a 2 year guarantee but I've never tried sending any back as they are to cheap to bother.

I would recommend a 4 watt cool white (colour 840) LED lamp, around a fiver but it should last 2-3 years and the electric meter will slow down and not run like a catherine wheel.

How long do they last? Do they need a driver or 230v?

Megaman MODO, £5+vat, fitted hundreds of them now and not had a bad one, great light and only 4.5w, and come with 50,000hr life

another good one is the Robus ones, they look very similar to a normal halogen in aesthetics
