Our electric bill has double within the last 6 months and the electric company are now saying the bill will be £440 a month. The electric company installed a check meter to see if the main meter was faulty. The readings comeback fine and they are now saying that it is down to our usage. We live in a 3 bed house my wife is at work all day and I'm still working from home (using a laptop) and my stepson goes to work every afternoon. We have a made a point to keep electric use down to a minimum but the readings are still increasing. What is the best way to check if we have any faulty appliances or does any one know of a company that would come and investigate ?
