Hi fellas,

Anyone any experience of wiring the biomass boiler in the following link? ETA Heiztechnik GmbH - ETA PC 20, 25 and 32 kW

I've wired loads of standard S Plan, Y plan, multi zone anf UFH systems but never a biomass.

The existing gas boiler system has two heating zone valves and a dhw zone valve.

I've taken a three channel programmer and all the gear expecting to wire up a S plan plus however the plumber says the programmer is not needed as all the controls are integrated into the biomass boiler.

Any help would be appreciated as I cant make any sense of the intructions.

Thank you

It depends how the job has been designed .
have connected most systems which keep the existing valves and programmer in place . switched live fires the pump which drains the boilers internal buffer tank , the boiler fires to keep the buffer tank at a specified temperature .

The boiler may need a switched live itself but who knows there is no wiring diagram in that link .

Depends what you want, The ETA boiler does indeed have all the controls you need. And are far more sophistatced and offer better control (including full web based remote as standard) than a standard controller.

It also includes the appropriate temperature probes - DHW cylinder etc.

If you havenlt attended the installation course, don't touch it, else the efficiency of the boiler will mean that you could be consuming twice as much fuel as you need.

Does it have a buffer tank?
