I'm not suggesting that it's a real-world problem - but it's something I wouldn't accept. I hate seeing them used as JBs.Ceiling roses have never been ip rated. You can’t stick a British standard finger in there.
Can always bung it up with mastic.

Missed the DIY tag, usually I am not allowed to to reply either.Thread is in DIY section, so I suggested something that a capable diy person could achieve. White rose on white ceiling is hardly noticeable.
And cables will be safely terminated. Better that than taped up and pushed into ceiling.
