Hi has anyone had a go with the Bosch GBH36 V-LI Compact sds drill?

I have just been given about 230 new Dewalt SDS masonary bits and am now looking for a reasonabally lightweight drill. I am currently using a Makita 18v MXT combi drill but for the money I will save with these bits am thinking it could be a great time to buy a cordless SDS.

I have seen the GBH36 standard with rotary stop for £400 but have been offered the compact for £120 less, the plan is to pair it up with my little 10.8 Bosch impact driver.

Any feedback??? Cheers

not sure on that but i use a Milwaukee 28v sds with rotary stop it's a lethal weapon lol, and got the 28v drill driver with percussion/hammer action which does the trick for most drilling requirements

i have used the bosch 24v stuff tho and can vouch for them, top notch for 24v fair play, so i would say it's prob a decent drill, what u might find is the battery Ah rating is lower on the compact and smaller obviously

I have the stanard 36v and the compact, Both are brill drills

Pros on stanard 36v
rotary stop to chase out boxes
very aggresive hammer action for drilling big holes
bigger battery

Pros on the compact
light weight
Faster rotation drill than the stanard
Great for boxing up using little 5.5mm drill bits and screwing with the little 10.8v driver

I honestly cant recommend which one to get cos they both as good as each other in different ways

Cheers, couldn't decide which one to get so bought both and an extra 2.6 battery for the compact. I also managed to get the guy to throw in a free 10.8 driver so am well happy. Now gonna put my 2 Makita 18v on ebay.

Thanks
