Hi,

I'm trying to replace one of the hotplate elements (Bosch 180mm 2000w hilight 644726) on my Neff Hob (T1373S0/01).

I've received the replacement part but the new one has 5 connections on the wiring block compared to 2 on the old one as you can hopefully see on the pics.

I suspect the larger number of connections is to cater for multi-phase power but I have no idea how to wire it up to the existing 2 wires. No other connectors came with the new hotplate.

Could somebody help please?

Thanks very much Joe

Silly question but have you read the instructions.

No wiring diagram/instructions with the replacement element.

As you can see from the first pic, there are only 2 wires connected to the old plate...

i would think that the rectengular block is a thermal cut outand the new one is 2 pole instead of single pole. try the red stripe wire on the element as in pic #1. and the grey stripe wire on the bottom left of the cut-out. ignore the right hand terminals. a multimeter would confirm. if in doubt, get an electrician to do it.

Why on earth are you fluffy around here, .....Get on to the manufacturer or their agents and ask them WHY there are 5 connections on the new replacement part, that is replacing a part with just 2 connections??

If the part they have provided is correct, then ask for a wiring connection diagram.
