isit re- cable new bt line???

If separation is not possible then use a shielded cable for your BT connection. That should solve it.

do you reckon its just the connections where sheath has been removed picking up the flux.........

Have never tried this so don't know, but the bt cable will be 3 pairs of which only two cores are needed - try tying the other 4 cores to ground at each end, some cheapskate shielding!!

Worth a try, I'll be interested to hear if it solves the issue.

Another trick is to double up the pairs, i.e punch down 4 wires at each end instead of the two.

Or you could try punching down 3 wires 2,3 & 5 I know originally the third wire was just to stop ring back on the old dial phones but have been told it reduces clicking often heard on some lines too nothing to loose
