evening sparks,

I am just about to start my 2330 level 3. Have found 2 textbooks on amazon that look good. Any of you used either? Which one is more popular in your view and why?

Advanced Electrical Installation Work: Level 3 City & Guilds 2330 Technical Certificate and 2356 NVQ (Paperback) by Linsley (Author)

or

Electrical Installations Level 3 2330 Technical Certificate & 2356 NVQ Student Book - Revised edition: Level 3 Student Book [Illustrated] (Paperback) by Nigel Harman et al (Author)

Thanks
Zak

We received the Lindsey book for level 3,but my tutor said that it only covers the 301 exam, and not nearly enough for the 302/303 test and fault finding.I had to buy this extra [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Practical-Inspection-Certification-Electrical-Installations/dp/185617607X/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1256213150&sr=8]Practical Guide to Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations: Conforms to 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2008 and Part P of Building Regulations: Amazon.co.uk: Christopher James Kitcher: Books[/ame]-

Thanks for your reply Noom.

I bought the Harman book which was the recommended one by my lecturer for the L3 course - its good - it covers a lot of things but i think i might also buy the textbook you mentioned in addition as i want more confidence in the Inspection & Testing side of things (302&303).

Good luck with the studies!
