How can this be justified as far as I am concerned it would be a C3 at the most or no code as the MCB can be deemed for isolation (it's fed from the local lighting circuit). Surely C2 potentially dangerous - urgent remedial action required is a bit over the top, thoughts please !!!!!!

C3 at most.

C3 - you should be able to work on the fan with the local lighting circuit still on. If the fan was in a high risk area then it could be a C2 if it meant isolation of the lighting circuit to work on the fan but that would be very unlikely.

How about 45Amp DP surface shower isolator outside of zone 2, coded C2 due to failed IP rating (2500mm FFL and 300mm from zone 2) not in a position to come into contact with water spray or the like! Thoughts please

I think a call to the report compiler asking him to justify his coding would be a good idea,if he cant then the report is worthless. He should be given a chance to explain his coding though.

Was the EICR a lot cheaper than other quotes?? Maybe they are making up for it on remedials. Sad but true sometimes.
