Hi,
I am waiting delivery of the above cooker to replace an old model
I will only be using at max the following:-

1 145mm radiant 1200W
1 180mm radiant 1700W
Grill Heating Element 1400W

Will 4.0 mm Twin & Earth flat cable brokay to use? The original cable is a bit aged. As I'm getting a new cooker I might as well replace the cable. I will not be using all the top rings, grill/top oven and main oven at the same time.

Thanks,
Gerald

How long is the length of the 4mm circuit?
Also does it run through any insulation or conduit?

Thanks for the reply,
About 5 foot, out in the open straight from the cooker wall plate, 2 foot from the floor to rear of cooker, so that we can move cooker for cleaning. we have got a pair of Apliance wheels movers.

Ahh right,
I thought you meant from the cooker to the consumer unit..
Twin and eart isn’t really suitable for that, especially if you are going to be moving the cooker now and then.
2.5mm flexible cable will do the job

no ,it will not do .

I seem to be getting conflicting advice.
I've downloaded the manual for the cooker and it states

Rated p0wer on nameplate >9500W at 240V
Diameter of supply cable 3 X 4.0 mm sq

I'll try Belling in the morning

4mm sq flex will be best but because the oven wouldn’t be pulling the full amount of power it could be downrated in theory..
Go for 4mm flexible cable not t+e
