hi looking for some help i am doing some load test in shops to see if i can fit some new heaters

i am doing a load test at the main board with tong testers and getting my results ok but i dont now if my cable head fuse is 60 amp or 80 amp with out cutting the seal on the main fuse what do all you guys do in this type off job

In the old days some meters had a note..anyone removing seal/s from this meter is liable to a £5.00 fine.
Nowadays me thinks its probably illegal to not provide an easy means of isolation, the tails out of meter are yours/customers.
I don't know how they get away with it, perhaps the regs do not apply to them?...perhaps I ought to get electricuted on a db....well sir, it was dark the utility company had no means of isolation, i got a belt, off work for 12-weeks nearly killed me...i have nightmares now, and my sex life has fizzled out.

Award that man £10zillion...

Don't know if this will help. Found this on page 241 of BRB.

Regulation 28 of the ESQCR 2002 requires distributors to provide the following information to relavant persons free of charge:

Amongst other supply and earthing characteristics

The type and rating of the distributors' protective device or devices nearest to the supply terminals.

Now I realise that you are dealing with a couldn't care less DNO and getting this info will probably be nigh on impossible, but in light of the fact that you have 155 shops to do, I think it may be worthwhile reminding them of the fact that they DO have to supply this info. It is THEIR equipment so THEIR responsibility to know or find out.
