Hi guys, can anyone help with this please.
I've a new kitchen going in which will have an induction hob, main oven & a compact oven/ microwave.
Induction hob is 32Amp & 7350W
Main oven is 16Amp & 3450 W
Compact oven 16Amp & 3650 W
New wiring is going in so would it be ok to use 10mm cable on the hob with a 40 amp fuse and a 45 Amp switch. Also a 10mm cable on a different 40 Amp fuse with a 2 way outlet & 45 Amp swich for the two ovens.
Hope I've explained this correctly.
Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Bit of an Overkill!
2No 32A circuits would be fine.
As for cable size, depends on route/length/volt drop, derating due to insulation etc.

diversity would normally let you use a 32A/6.0mm circuit, so if you use a 10.0mm on a 45A. you'll be fine, even if some itchy-poo on the cable route.

I have taken out an old 10mm cable which was linked to a 40A fuse.
Just thought as all the kitchen cables will be renewed the 10mm would be more than adequate but don't want to go over the top as 10mm cable is not cheap.
Yes I'm a yorkshireman lol

As DefyG. But I’ve done exactly the same .,10mm to island unit with induction job and same for two ovens...but I do like to over engineer. ??

why take it out when you could have re-used it?

Without knowing more about routes, de-rates and all that kinda stuff, sounds like 2 x 4mm radials would be fine (and a lot easier to work with).
