Looking to add a shower to the bathroom, but it's all tiled, there is a cold water pipe running up the wall in trunking, can I run the cable up this trucking, upto a point and branch off for the shower, upgrading the mcb to rcbo and will bond the water pipe, to the earth on the shower, can this be done, or do I need to run new trunking all the way around

It's always good practice to keep both plumbing and electrical separate. If its your ONLY option and IT IS a cold feed, it isn't really a major concern as long as the circuit is on a RCD/RCBO.

I would personally run a separate trunking if it was me doing the job. It has already got one length of trunking on the wall? Where's the harm in another one next to it?
