Reading about not using pvc t&e externally, what a load of rubbish, just take a look around it’s everywhere.
wielded by your local friendly scuffer/rozzer/woodentop ?Not for me. Perhaps run a baton under the eves?
I would use a proper bs approved cable that meets all relevant standards..
I see a lot of sy,yy & cy cable installed.
At least t&e is a recognized and approved cable.
Oops - can I blame spell check?wielded by your local friendly scuffer/rozzer/woodentop ?
Not aware that BASEC have condemned the use of SY cables.
Last year they were asking for input on specifications for control cables, specifically CY, SY and YY cables.
At least t&e can be considered and disregarded due to the fact it is an approved cable..
Whereas sy type cables don’t.
Basec have condemned their use.
Just because something is widely used doesn’t make it right.
There has been many incidents involving products that have been widely used that shouldn’t have been.
