I am needing to install a CamLock power box to provide power to some equipment. Located in a commercial office building.

The equipment is a robotic arm that requires 208V, 3 Phase Power, 30 Amps max. It comes with a controller and transformer.

The overall power flow is as follows:
Building > Electrical Panel (120/208V, 3 Phase, 100 amp capacity) > Circuit Breaker (30AMP, what voltage?) > CamLock box (120/208V, with Blk/Red/Blue/White/Green) > Transformer (Inputs 208V and steps up to 480V for robot) > Controller > Robot

Do I have the correct CamLock box for this power flow to work, since Transformer requires 208V? Would the Camlock only be wired for Blk/Red/Blue/Green and exclude the White to provide the 208V?

Thx.

CamLock fittings are kind of overkill for your stated application, is this something the supplier has specified?
Here in Australia I would use a 32A 4/5 pin plug and socket arrangement for such a supply, I'm sure there are equivalent products in the US market.
Have a talk to someone who does industrial electrics in your area, they will know more of the local codes. You also shouldn't exclude the neutral conductor unless you know for sure the robot only needs 3P&E.

Hey,
Thx. Yes so the supplier specifies CamLock.
They are providing me Robot, controller, transformer, and camlock cable. The transformer has CamLock inlets, Blk/Red/Blue/Green on it, so inputs 208V and steps up to 480V for robot.
I need to get camlock box to connect between electrical panel and transformer.
Wondering if the CamLock is there due to the 3Phase requirement of the robot.

Curious if in my power flow it sounds like the specification of Camlock sounds like would work (120/208V 3 phase), and if would only wire Blk/Blue/Red/Green to electrical panel?
Thx
