Evening all...

I have just signed up to get 'wiring matters', just wondered what others read and which ones you think are quite good?

Do any focus more on domestic?

Cheers :smile5:

You are a brave man HHD, posting this on a Friday night Lol

That made me smile! Fridays haven't meant much to me for a long time Spark68. 2 jobs and my boy with me 3 days/nights of the week leaves little room for socialising :smile5:

What about Penthouse,I am led to believe it had good accounts of various installation practices

Then there is the Edwardian detective magazine Pyro

Last of all what about Transformers, maybe its now in print form

bs 7671 is a good paperback :ciappa:

Boydy

i prefer osg as it has more pics!

i did pick up free one at wholesalers once and flicked thru it n it seemed ok (free!) - meant to look at it again, but then again, there's alot i was meant to do, ask the missus!!

Listening/reading some of the chat going on between onions and markc they may be able to offer you some good interesting magazines ... might not be too much technical stuff but if you like trade photo's (think along the lines of village people) Im sure there would be plenty in there!

Come on chaps...

So far you've suggested:

Viz, penthouse, BGB and the OSG!!!!!! :rolleyes2: I already have 2 of them..... Viz and Penthouse are most interesting.

Anyone read any of the following:

Cable talk, ECA today, Electrical contractor, Electrical times, Professional Electrician, Switched on, wiring matters, connections. What are any of them like? Do some of them focus more on industrial or domestic?

Thanks for 'connections' Mark. Do you read it? Interesting? Useful?

Looking forward to more 'interesting' suggestions/comments...

PE is great for product reviews and pics of epic fails
WM is your more high brow read featuring explainations to the regulations and industry developements in general.
the rest arent worth a crap.

thought this was your usual read, biff.

I pick up PE when in wholesalers, occasionally has some interesting technical gumph. I reckon the product reviews in there are all biased marketing bollux though. They would probably say neon drivers are essential if you paid enough! Does have some nice pics of crappy installs too.

If your registered with NAPIT then please recycle 'The Competent Person' without reading it first as it is tripe, tripe and more tripe. And even tripe with spam...,

Yeah I agree with that, got given a copy when my class at college was in it. As well as walking around napit head office.
