wonder if someone can help
Ive got a ring main serving four socket outlets in an hospital job that will not test, new installation that finished last friday but just cannot get the rcd tests to comply! (Be gratefull for any ideas)sinking ship

Approximate run 35mtrs 2.5 singles no damage to cables
R1+R2 fine Zs 0.40 rcd 1x 310ms 5x 50ms 30ma
Have tested ring for end to end
Have traced all cables back to board
Replaced the new rcbo with another£
all other circuits tested and job complete

Hi Pete, the previous comment about using another meter could do the trick. I had a similar problem earlier this year actually during my 2391 practical exam. Using a Fluke(belonging to the college) the readings were way over. I used my own megger on it and the readings were exactly what I expected them to be. I couldn't get round it any other way as the examiner was hovering over my shoulder and agreed that some meters just don't like some installations.
