Hi

My candy fdp232 main oven has suddenly stopped working - the upper oven, main oven light, cooler fan and clock all work, as does the light which indicates the oven hasn't yet reached the required temperature. But the fan and heating elements are not working in the main oven.

Any ideas on what this could be? Is it worth attempting a repair/getting someone out or just replace the built in oven?

Is the clock set properly (ie not flashing) and the programmer set to manual? Otherwise the bottom oven may have been switched off by the programmer.
Otherwise it could be (though unlikely) the knob/temperature control assy - suggest a multimeter to diagnose the problem.

It's definitely not the clock (set properly) or programmer - the light/extractor fan doesn't operate in that case. Everything is working except the heat/fan. I will remove it in the next few days and check with with a mm
