Wondered if anyone can provide some advice.

Im 26 and due to be made redundant from my job (warehouse manager).
I always wanted to get a trade job and now back looking into it.

How hard is it to get a electrician job if im not doing apprentiship.
All the jobs ive seen say work experience required.

Without qualifications you will not get much more than labourer jobs.
Your best option if looking to get in the trade is get yourself on the level 2 2365 course at college one or two days per week maybe evenings? and get job as labourer rest of time so it sinks in better, when it comes to level 3 you can get learning loans to pay for that, you can do your 18th edition later in year when it comes out and if it helps do a 2392 testing course as an entry option. Once you have both level 2 and 3 and with the experience you would get whilst doing it, then you might be able to get on and do the nvq level 3, of course you could go down the domestic installer route once you have some experience behind you and have the relevant bits of paper.

I'm afraid you can't just be an electrician you need to do the training and pass the exams to hold the coveted title
