Cartridge fuses are they Bs 1361 and what type are they? 5a and 30 a cert asks for type as well as bs number. Thanks
 
yeah 1361 for small domestic type fuses they dont have a type though
bs 88 for older larger fuses from old style switch fuses and industrial fuses some motor rated,
new elec board fuses are also 1361

I was laways being accused of talking BS by the ex so here goes;

As far as I know...

BS1361 is the specification for cartridge fuses for a.c. circuits in domestic and similar premises.
BS1361 Type 1 Breaking Capacity = 16kA
BS1361 Type 2 Breaking Capacity = 33kA

BS1362 seems to be the specification for general purpose fuses for domestic and similar purposes (primarily for use in plugs)

BS 1363 specifies domestic AC power plugs and sockets most commonly used in the United Kingdom

BS1364 is for? Load bearing walls. How dull :O)
