Anyone else had problems with this crap???? Bought the kewtech plug in socket to test continuity and ZS on sockets without having to open sockets and started getting strange readings (a different one everytime on same socket). Thought my tester was playing up....After abit of investigation (thanks IQ), found that its the actual sockets that are buggering up the continuity readings....

Tested different sockets (contactum) on the same circuits and readings are fine....

Bloody cheap crap CED!!!!

Yep, had problems with both the sockets and extractor fans (not big enough port on the fans so the hose stops the fan spinning freely). Have you tried inserting and removing the R2 adapter a few times? I've found that my readings did stabilise, I had put it down to be some kind of surface contaminant causing increased resistance on the contacts, but won't buy from choice anymore.

CED on a cheapo rewire. Testing was a nightmare. Use MK or Crabtree now and don't have the issues.

The thing that makes me laugh is my local wholesaler thinks they are top notch and sell a DSO for almost 3.30.

I gat MK for about another 20p

I had the same problem with BG sockets that I used on a rewire a few years ago & have been using Crabtree ever since.
