Hi there.
We live in a new build changed the old ceiling light over for new fitting and it’s not working. I attach the light switch which I changed faceplate(maybe done this wrong) and the cables coming out the ceiling

problem lies with the switch, one of the brown wire should be in the terminal that is currently empty.

POWER OFF BEFORE ANY WORK.

Two brown wires needs to go to COM, other brown to L1 and whats most important earth wires green/yellow needs to be connected to earth terminal in your switch

Well spotted,
Missing earth is a danger.
If you have changed any other switches,I would urge you to get someone qualified to check them over.

Easy mistake as some manufacturers label the terminals differently. (L1, L2, L3 instead of C, L1, L2)
As above... make sure the power is off. Can get a nasty kick off a lightswitch
