Have just looked at changing a consumer unit in a flat plus installing some new sockets. Do i need to install a DUAL RCD board 2x 80A 30mA RCD 7 way the flat only has 4 circuits. 1. lighting 2.ring for small kitchen and front room all open plan 3. Boiler 4. cooker

let me know what you think

Up to you peter.

You can use a cu with a main switch and then use RCBO's on each circuit.

However, this can work out more expensive.
