Discuss Changing downlight bulb in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi,
One of the downlights in my bathroom started to flicker and I tried to turn it around.

Is this possible to change? How?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
It may have a spring clip on it. Can you get to the other side of the light, where the wires go?

Something like this, maybe.

those are horrible to get out. usually fitted in with a rubber sucker. with the circuit isolated, get a couple of slotted end screwdrivers and prise the fitting out.( watch your fingers, the springs are a mousetrap) then you can get a grip on it .

Isn't there a metal circlip? I'm sure I can see two metal bit protruding out. Try squeezing them together and removing the clip. The bulb may then withdraw with a bit of luck.
