There are two floursecent lights in the gagage which seem to take a long time to come on. They are controlled by two way switches, one near the door from the kitchen and one near the large door at the front.
Can I change these to flood lights which should come on immediately one of the switches is operated.
The existing lights are attached to the wooden roof beams which support the
tiled roof.

He could be Over 80 and need some help but then I’d be very impressed with an over 80 year old plugging in to such a high tech forum as this for advice ;)

Thank you for your replies.
Have been retired for over 20 years. Still active. originaly an aircraft engineer. No training in electrics. But have always switched everything off before even changing a light bulb. Just wanted some expert advice before doing anything with the existing lights

us old 'uns need to be careful when working with electricity. i have just bit the bullet and ordered a fibreglass ( non-conductive ) zimmer frame to comply with current H&S rules.:eek::eek:.
