Hi guys wonder if anyone can help? i've inherited a job that has existing circuits that where to be reused, but in the meantime walls and floors have been demolished and there is cables everywhere. the new area will get new circuits but i really need to use the existing as well because several rooms are not to be touched. my question is does a fuse finder kit work on this kind of thing i.e does a fuse finder require 240v power in order to work or does it work purly on a transmitter basis? its not something i have used but if it was to work it would pay for it self on this job alone.this way i would be able to find the mcb for the existing circuit and repare the existing cabling if neaded, thanks in advance if anyone know's

something tells me there is a link to one on the forum somewhere try the links looking for MFTs the test specalist sellers may have something like this

ok power down everything ,remove or isolate all the breakers and then bell out the cables (join them out & use a meter or lamp etc ) and find your circuits the rest is straight forward ,fuse finders are useful but rely on 240v ,cheers ceri
