Commercial Boiler

I was asked to fault find on a Ideal IMAX W60 commercial boiler which I did and found that the boiler controller was faulty.
My question is, am I allowed to replace the controller which is situated in the boiler, albeit that you do not have to remove the casing.
Advise would be appreciated.

If you are talking about the boiler control module located inside the boiler then you will need Comm Gas tickets, i.e. Gas Safe registered, otherwise your activity is illegal.

After replacing the control module you will have all the parameters to put back in and you will need to do a combustion and gas rate check, its pretty clear in the MI's

TBH surprised you have been asked to do this unless you have the gas tickets

Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it.
I was asked to take a look, as the Gas Safe registered plumber and previous electrician were laying the fault at each other’s door and getting nowhere.
I have already advised the customer to call another gas engineer in.
So thanks again for enlightening me ??
