What are the overloads set at, what exactly is tripping, RCD MCB or the contactor itselfblessed day all, i have a 3PH,15HP, RPM-1775, V-230/460, AMP 37.1 Motor. Compressor Starter rating of 460VAC/ 15HP/3PH , why it keep tripping???
The contractor it self is whats tripping. What are the overloads set at, what exactly is tripping, RCD MCB or the contactor itself
After reading your message i went and check the unloader valve, realizing that its not unloading like it should. It will spit out some then stop then spit out again then stop. Only if I turn the power (120v) off then on again it will do that. So i'm gonna take it off and see whats inside or if thats even possible. will keep you posted on progress. thanksThat's the overload, attached to the contactor.
The most likely fault with a compressor tripping the oveload is the compressor unloader valve sticking.
It relieves the pressure on the compressor at start up, it's what causes the air hissing at compressor switch off and start up.
