Hi, I want to install 2 led pir floodlights directly from consumer unit and for them to work together when either sensor is set off. Can I run a cable to the first light (L,N,E) and then from the first light to the second light the same (L,N,E) and then run another cable from L1 to L1 on either light? Hope all this makes sense!

Firstly I would not have them directly from the CU, you really should have some sort of switch to allow testing/isolation, preferably double pole but not essential provide you verify the line is switched (and not neutral).

Secondly you would be better getting some 4-core cable to link the two, so you have your permanent L, N, and E from the supply/switch to the first, then the 4 core with PL, Switched L, N & E between the two. There are a few places that sell 4-core HO7RN-F rubber stuff that is fine for outdoor use by the meter.

If you wanted to be fancy you could run 4 core to both and have a set of switches indoors to turn them on separately and also to link them as an option...

Note if you get 4-core cable it will be in three-phase colours (brown, black, grey) plus the green/yellow for earth. You should mark the cores with a little brown or blue sleeve to indicate the use. Typically:
Brown = permanent live (i.e. feed from CU vie internal switch)
Black + brown sleeve = switched live (PIR controlled)
Grey + blue sleeve = neutral (as for permanent live)
