Or still split the ring into 2 20A radials, but that would mean that a number of sockets have no earth.

But at least this way you can R1/R2 back towards the cu.

Much easier to fault find on a radial.

As Kung said, the NIC man will not be best pleased if you leave as is.

agree with kung......... 1st have a look behind each socket if no joy.
take socket off half way round ring, split cpcs then do continuity on each half back to cu, one side should be ok and one open,keep splitting the bad half till you find the bad leg.
