Hi all,

I hope you can can give me advice, my first time posting

I've acquired two old bullfinch gas lamps, this type thing Pair of Original Bullfinch Gas Lamps with Tripods | Ace Reclamation - https://www.acereclamation.com/Original-Bullfinch-Gas-Lamps-with-Tripods/2770.htm

I need to convert them and was wondering and how to earth them, the whole thing is made out metal.

if I use something like this E27 Plain Old English Lampholder With 20mm Base Thread [3140176] - https://www.lampspares.co.uk/e27-plain-old-english-lampholder-with-20mm-base-Base-3140176/

The Earth disconnect to the shell of the holder, which is in turn has a continuous metal connection with the rest of the lamp. Will this be good enough or will I have to also have other parts of the lamp?

Thanks

Gary

Are you intending selling these? You need to be very careful if so, and also comply with the Low Voltage Directive.

i'll go with the 12V advice. no need to earth, feed with a 12V PSU which can be plug-in or hard wired type.

I do want it work with a nice led filament bulb.

I'm not sure if came across in the original link, but the lamp diameter is 350mm, they are big floor standing lights
