Hi Guys

just look for some advise, getting new kitchen fitted in a couple of weeks. new oven is a 3.5kw 16amp, cable installed in wall is 6mm, should this be ok or do i have to change it to 10mm.

The isolation switch is in a 2 gang drywall box but takes 2 1 gang switches, one is a fused stur for hob.

from the side of the gas hob i've worked out it would only be 130mm from fused stur and 200mm approx for the isolation switch, would this be ok

cheers for the advise

The recommended separation of electrical equipment and hobs is 300mm, so yours would be a bit close, however it is only a recommendation, you may get your electrician wanting to move it.

since i've just had the walls all plastered i should be able to move it over a bit move and repair the wall my self, dont think i'll get to 300mm

i woudnt bother so much as moving the accessories an inch.
seeing as the items are a switch and a spur , there is no socket for a flex to hang down from.

however , seeing as the OP is no longer online hes probably knocking the crap out of his newly plastered kitchen for absolutely no reason :)

soz biff55 not away knocking the plaster off LOL did have a look to see how far it could move and at only 50mm approx not really worth the hassle and time.

I'll just leave it
