cooker point position

Hello fellas i dont have my regs to hand at the moment to check and see if there is a minimum distance the cooker point can go from the edge of the cooker. I was thought as long as it didnt overlap the cooker it was ok but i have been told in the regs it says 150mm. Im also sure the maximum distance is 2metres.

Thanks for the reply i have just been to a mates for a regs book and i cant find it in that or the OSG

If its any help, the OSG says 'the switch must be within 2m of the appliance, but not directly above it', p160

Yea thats all i can find nothing about 150mm or 300mm away from the cooker

theres a diagram in iee guide to building regs, not sure if its in osg havent got it to hand...
