Discuss Could someone decipher this wiring diagram for me? I bought 10-3 wire to run to it, looking to wire for 230V. in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

think you just need to get 230V across blue and black. in USA is this achieved with 2 hots?
 
Yessir, but I'm not positive what the diagram is telling me to do.

My interpretation is this :

Hot w/ blue

Neutral w/ white, red, orange

Ground w/ brown

Hot w/ Black, yellow

Is that correct?
No.

Live to blue.

Neutral / other live to yellow and black together.

White, Red and Orange together in an insulated connector.

Brown in its own insulated connector.
