Discuss Cross bonding of water pipes/Supplementry bonding? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Not required if all circuits comply with ADS requirements, have RCD protection and all ext con parts of location connected to bonding of gas and water etc etc etc :)

As wirepuller says, you need to grasp the concepts behind why and what we bond and under what circumstances. It all comes down to whether parts are extraneous or not.

As Kingeri has pointed out it very important to understand why bonding is carried out and why in some locations it can possibly induce a potential. Yes the regulations are there to guide us but a blinkered view in our actions can sometimes be a downfall.
