Did an EICR on a 8 bedroom hotel a few weeks ago, issued the report yesterday, every bedroom has class 1 fittings, I assume they cost a few quid, they were put up by the odd job man, Lighting circuit has no cpc as its wired in twin red/black, I said its not a problem if we change them to pendants or other suitable class 2 fittings and put a sticker on the DB, otherwise we will be running a 4mm earth or rewiring, the owner basically has told me because the EICR was requested by the local fire officer he has said that having no earth is not a fire related issue so he's fine with it :2guns:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hence.....here is your UNSATISFACTORY certificate...but he did pay me, unreal

I love those customers that ask for them, Had a few for a estate agent for house sales latley. One in perticular was a spot light he had fitted himslef and told the solicitor when selling the house..

Turned up and failed straight away for no bonding... his responce was thats *****cks whats that got to do with a light..

Got paid so not fussed to be fair

He definitley needs fingering.

Like others said, least you've been paid and can't be held liable. Why do people not understand the dangers of electricity, it's absolutley ridiculous.

You should add on the comments that his handyman isn't very handy.
