Was looking for something smallish has anyone had any joy with knipex cobolt cutters cutting basket?

i think they will be pushing it a bit they are so short you will strugle to close them
not enough leverage

I use bolt ceopers for cutting basket and have a panasonic metal cutter for tray and trunking.

Tin snips as long as they are sharp

best way to cut basket is with a grinder making sure its it is filed bolt cutters are ok but limited to space and leaves razor sharp edges and remember to use galv paint or spray its fantastic to work with

I agree with ken and the other guys only real tool for the job is bolt cutters i got a small set from cpc work a treat no bigger than a CK cable shears and the nice thing is doent leave awquard sharp edges , also i have found some small caps Orbix screws do to go over there screws these are brilliant for protecting the sharp ends

yep bolt croppers every time. mine cost me £5 from aldi nearly 3.5 year ago and there still going strong. infact theyve even outshone the pair of brand new 1s sent out to site by the company i work for, best bargain in my tool box i think

bolt cuters BUT watch the edges some have ruddy big bits others have slimmish blades these tend to work best

id say the exact saw or a dremil or something like it. ive never worke with it . whats this about spaying it for what reasons and does it bend easy enough i.e 45 degrees 90 degrees??? cheers for your reply

you mean spraying the ends with galvafroid to prevent rusting as by cutting you will have broken the outer coating
