Excalibur is the common name from french, but this is only a recent renaming, various earlier stories had it as Caledfwlch, which in Latin became Caliburnus.

Excalibur.
Sword in the stone was not the same one. (Thanks Internet)

It was Excalibur, I am that old I remember having a go at pulling it out of the stone, didn't manage it but I did cop off with the nice lady with long hair, it didn't work out because she kept the sword and threw me into the lake.
