DRL

Hello

Wishing to retro fit some DRL into a vehicle.
Instructions, among other wires, state to:
White wire to headlight
Blue wire to ACC [accessories]
[+ve wire is fused just in case any readers ask]

Had a chat to auto electrician and he said best and easiest way is:
White wire to park light
Blue wire to windscreen wire

Apart from your thoughts on what he said, does the white wire tap into the +ve wire and does the blue wire also tap into the +ve wire?

Thank you in advance.

Pictures speak a thousand words....

Photos of the wiring, the lights and any wiring instruction diagrams you have would be a help.

Also the make, model and age of the vehicle. Newer vehicle electrics are a pain to add things to

Hi,you are going to have to describe, what colour wire, goes from and to,where.

Are you trying to achieve reduced output on main headlights?

What are the construction and use regs,in your state, regarding vehicles?

2000 Toyota Spacia [released in Australia, based on the townace]

My scenario is simple, but identifying the wires to hook into is the issue. I'm only looking to hook up the following wires from the DRL kit just to test and if it works as they claim, which is when the headlights are turned on, the DRL will turn off:

White from DRL unit -> car headlight [will be to park light, 2nd image attached] - should it to be the + or - parking light wire?
Blue from DRL unit -> car acc [accessories, looking to use the wiper wiring, 3rd image attached] - should it be + or - wire, if I can identify it that is!
Black - negative
Red - positive
