EICR installation 40 + years old… cabling PVC T&E… no MBPC…
As stated fuses, all ELI measurements are ok… RCD separate from DB/CU 30ma, what’s your feelings on a new DB/CU, installation is in a fair condition.
Classification code recommends C3

Well it is adequate by the key operational aspects (assuming bonding fixed).

However, I don't really like rewirable boards as not that many folks can safely rewire said fuse, both the act of changing the wire for more of the correct rating, and not attempting to remove/insert one in to a live board. In the past I would put in the Wylex plug-in breakers instead as a quick and approved means of avoiding that pitfall.

You could make a case that a CU upgrade would bring some improvement in safety on that front, along with SPD to reduce the risk to any fancy equipment, but it is still a C3 code so really more of advice for the future (e.g. if any new circuit needed, etc).

As far as an EICR goes if it is in satisfactory condition for continued use then that is what goes in the report.

But that doesn't stop you from discussing the merits of upgrading with the customer.
