what do you want to design? circuit drawings, circuit simulation?
National Instruments MultiSim is what i use for circuit simulation but its really for electronic circuits, i 'acquired' Eplan last week but was in german so dumped it. im now in the process of learning AutoCad Electrical.
microsoft Visio is an add on to microsoft office suite is quite good if you can get the symbols you need, an option is to fragment the symbols that come with it an build your own
Is auto cad free? I've got visio on my laptop so ill have a play with it? Do you know where you can get the symbols from?
