Discuss Delay joining Stroma in the Certification NICEIC, NAPIT, Stroma, BECSA Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Over here in the iom electricians don’t need to be a member of a scheme to be on the part p list of approved contractors..
Instead they can opt for the govt assessment scheme, 1 off fee which lasts a few years till next assessment..
Is this also the case in the uk or do you have to be a member of a scheme?
I’m currently with Napit, but rethinking it now.

I've been with Stroma for 5 years. They always take ages to give you confirmation of your pass. It doesn't bother me anymore as you know they will in the end. I asked them if I could keep notifying whilst awaiting confirmation of the pass and they were absolutely fine with that.

It is only for local sparks though..
I work all over the uk and abroad so wouldn’t be any good for me and also no good for commercial jobs where they request scheme members only

£255 + VAT (Stroma). Although I think they may have put there prices up this year, however the site has not been updated.
