A very good reason why using this type of software is not a good idea

Do they not automatically backup?

I would suspect that if you have deleted it then it will be unrecoverable. I use the NICEIC Certification Software (NIC Clik software) but even then if I deleted a certificate I can't imagine that it would be recoverable.

Just to clarify was this a draft cert or a completed cert?

Dont no about the nic software but you can recover deleted certs in easy cert ,
I'm just assuming that you can't recover them. I don't actually make a habit of deleting completed certificates!

That's why I was asking the OP to clarify whether this was a draft certificate or a completed one. I'm still none the wiser about that aspect though.

Why does anyone use the NICEIC software anyway? Surely you would produce enough certificates that easy cert or the like is better value for money? Doesn't the NICEIC charge £1.50 per cert or something?

Perhaps because a lot of people insist on NIC certificates. So the only options are purchased pads of certs (which can be overprinted with the likes of Amtech), the NIC online cloud software or the Clik NICEIC Certification Software .

You might be lucky, but the Certsure (Elecsa) one I use, when you click 'delete', it does ask again 'you sure you want to delete?'

Incidentally Chris, I've been unable to access their on-line certificate web site for nearly two weeks now, due to a technical fault they have; Elecsa - Welcome to ELECSA - http://www.elecsa.co.uk/. Are you able to use the NICEIC one then? (Thought they - NIC/Elecsa used the same system).

Cancel my last, just used a different browser, and was able to get to the on-line web page. Got a bit of catching up to do :(
