Does anyone have experience of these? Are they 'tough'? Do the boxes lock together without the trolley system?

Yes i've got the complete set with trolley. They're really tough, IP rated too. There's a seal around the lid which seals when closed. The boxes can be used to stand on they are that tough. I'm 15 stone and when i stand on the biggest box,(the DS400) it doesn't even deform, i can jump up and down on it without any deforming. The boxes do lock together without using the trolley. I'm so impressed that i'm getting another DS150 to put my megger and test kit into.
The trolley can also be used as a sack truck, supposedly can lift 150kg, which i can believe looking at how well it's built.

The only thing I would say about the trolley is it doesn't fit through standard doorways very easily. My mate bought the complete set at the tool fair at kempton park this month. The planks on the dewalt stand had a customers van out back all racked out with the new boxes, the only problem being they where proudly showing off the trolley and then told us the bloke had moded it because of the issue with doorway access as its made for the American market. The chap had cut the handles off and re welded them so they faced inwards and he mounted the wheels on the inside of the axels and cut them shorter. Bit of a foot in mouth moment for the dewalt sales guy lol, didn't stop my mate, he still loves the kit.

I have used the system for a year now and really rate the gear .boxes are super tough and the trolley is a god send when working away from the parked van .the trolley wheel base and handles need tweaking but great kit saves going back to the van and leaving your tools unattended
