Discuss di-log voltage tester in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

im on my second Di log tester like that, pretty good..!

my first one lets say decayed a little just as the cable enters the main body housing... (if you look at the picture you see a small stumpy yellow cable gland) well on the original model this was missing.... long story short never checked the unit, went to check voltage on a pendant.....!!! ZAP!!!! straight through the palm of my hand... i threw the tester with such force the pointy probe embedded its self in the dry lined wall...!!

The black sleeves over the conductive tips just slide off and get lost, leaving 2cm of metal. No problem unless you have a boss who is properly gay for GS38. If they dont get lost, they get in the way of a nice secure contact. I ended up using magic tape to improvise the 2mm exposed my boss whined about. Better ones out there, and saving money on this of all items dont strike me as a good idea!

had same with a fluke. could not get probes int tight terminals, so removed tip covers and replaced with a couple of bits of heat shrink sleeving.
