Hi
how should I start :) I've started replaceing switches in my new (old) house and done them all apart from one ;)
in my living room there is a triple dimmer switch for 3 separate sets of lights in that room.
There is one live wire (tested) and 3 other red wires (im guesing to all 3 sets of lights) and one black wire.
I got a dimmer from like this one
http://www.nexusinds.com/bg/downloa...us_Flatplate_dimmers_switches_push_on_off.pdf

each got L1, L2, and some zigzag with a space for third wire
question is how to wire is so i can use them all at once or one at the time..
from those lights somewhere there is connection to the kithen and staircase lights so after disconecting old dimmer I ended up with half of my house with no light now ;/

Help please

start from finding out what each wire does, connecting electrics is not a guessing game.
then read manuals provided with the switch, it should say what each terminal is for.

hi I did check not guess ;)
and like I said first red is a live wire all the rest should take the power from that one..
I've posted the link to the instructions but it's not really a great instruction.. even if i got one ok there is no explanation how to pass the electric from first switch to second and second to third.

on second page model Fxx83P thats the one I have ..
so it should go live to the first one and from the first one to first set of lights and then to second one somehow... ?

Just to add it in the previous one it was all tangled and couldn't work out how to copy it but there were 2 small wires added connecting switches 1 with 2 and 2 with 3 in some way

suggest you get a local electrician in. won't cost much. remember. lights are for life, not just for christmas.
