dimmers?

Hi guys
Fitted some downlights 230v gu10 halogen and am unsure weather I can put a MK 500w dimmer on them without any issue? As I've seen a lot of debates on here of what can and can't be done.
The most on any switch is 5.

500w is the maximum load. 10 lamps rated? At 50w each? Does the dimmer required a neutral? Make sure you check that.

If you're plannning to use a grid switch there are recommended limits for the grid switch.

Doesn't seem to need a neutral although. Picture shows switch common-load-N.
L1- L from mains supply.

For 5 x 50W halogen lamps you are running at 250W, for most standard dimmers they recommend derating for halogen lamps so you would be looking at a 500W dimmer, this is what you have so you should be OK.

Rule of thumb for dimmers controlling resistive loads is to derate by 0.5
