morning all

we have just had the nic visit and as usual we have to live in utophia for a while and as per usual he has picked up non filling of supply protective device characteristics ie (the fuse you cant see) is there a magic way of finding these out if the installation isnt brand new or how do other contractors overcome this.

is there a hotline for united utilities?

Hum... break the seals and take a look (I don't think so), call the DNO (and they probably won't know) or put LIM in the box (and work any calculations on the basis that it could be 100A)

Sounds like the assessor is being a trifle perdantic.

how about calling the NIC technical advise line and get them to explain what you are supposed to do. I'd be interested to hear their answer :)

Or leave and join another body where they actually see thing in the real world.

If your in the United Utilities area, you want to get onto Electricity Northwest, who actually have been quite helpfull the last few times i've spoke to them
